Seniors Voice PDX is a movement of elders, visionaries, and allies empowering seniors to age with dignity, purpose, and connection – in Portland, Oregon, and beyond.
We believe in the power of connection, the beauty of shared wisdom, and the strength of every voice.
Let’s Turn The Lights Back On Together.
Together, let’s build a community where seniors are valued and celebrated,
A future where all generations are uplifted and empowered.
At Seniors Voice PDX, our Mission Is To Give Seniors A Voice – economically, politically, and socially
By creating a community network that unites generations, fosters public and private partnerships, and bridges service gaps
To ensure seniors have access to vital resources, affordable housing, and opportunities for engagement.
Seniors Voice PDX creates community, senior-friendly solutions, and events that raise awareness, bring people together
To inspire unity and develop innovative solutions for seniors to age with dignity and purpose.
Through cross-cultural and multigenerational collaborations,
We are creating a city-wide alliance, an inclusive community network
That develops preventive solutions to complex social problems.
“Giving Seniors A Voice Today- Empowers Seniors For Tomorrow”
We envision a city where seniors are honored as teachers, guides,
And culture-bearers. Supported in their homes and communities and engaged
In shaping solutions that serve all generations.
Let’s unite generations by building bridges between youth and elders,
Preventing isolation and creating community.
Providing services that address their needs ensures that seniors can stay rooted
In their homes and community. Let’s share the wisdom that shines the light for future generations.
Welcome to the heart of Seniors Voice PDX, an intergenerational alliance, where wisdom meets action. Whether you’re a senior with gifts to share, a youth eager to learn, or a community partner looking to collaborate, your voice matters here. This is more than a website—it’s a movement grounded in wisdom, fueled by compassion, and lifted by purpose.
Become A Golden Eagle Messenger
Seniors Voice PDX was born in living rooms, libraries, parks, and community circles—spaces where elders, youth, and allies gather to ask: How can we restore their voice and empower our Mothers, Fathers, Grandparents, and Friends?
Seniors Voice PDX is more than a project—it’s a call to honor the wisdom of our elders
And to co-createa future where every generation thrives in connection, dignity, and purpose.
Born from the vision of seasoned changemakers and community elders,
We stand for a simple but powerful truth: every senior has a voice that matters.
Our work restores that voice through storytelling, advocacy, and community action,
Intergenerational collaborations, and public and private partnerships.
We are working together to manifest something higher NOW!

“Become A Golden Eagle Messenger”
Every Voice can help change a policy, a system, or a life. Every person can help a senior feel like they matter just by understanding – help them find joy by caring.
Through the launch of our Media Campaign, you can help empower them to share their stories, their wisdom, their triumphs, and their defeats. Together, we can celebrate what empowers them and fix what robs them of their power.
Many elders struggle to navigate today’s technology. By helping design senior-friendly systems and helping them navigate existing systems, you empower them to live with independence and confidence.
Seniors deserve to age in dignity and security. We’re bringing people together to create innovative solutions and ensure they have access to energy-efficient services. Join us in creating energy-efficient events that connect seniors with affordability programs and services. Aging is a journey of expansion within, not diminishing worth.
Isolation is the #1 challenge seniors face.
But the smallest acts—walking with them, helping with groceries, fixing a meal, taking them to one of the vibrant neighborhood community centers, or simply listening—can make a life-changing difference.
Got Heart? Ideas? A Can-Do Attitude? We need YOU!
Seniors Voice PDX Is A Call To Action.
We are shaping the future by bridging generations, building partnerships, and co-creating heart-based community solutions
To honor our elders, amplify their voices, and share yours. We are making bold moves.
Your Voice Matters, Your Actions Count!
It’s fun, transformative, and deeply needed.
Be a part of upcoming events and activities designed to inspire, connect, and foster community engagement for all generations. Through cross-generational partnerships and bold collaboration, we’re creating spaces where seniors can thrive and age with dignity.
Join us in creating a citywide celebration that unites Portland’s diverse communities through music, art, storytelling, and collective healing. Guided by the wisdom and blessings of Portland’s elders from all cultures, this Ceremony of Unity will honor our diversity, uplift our shared humanity, and shine a light on what is possible when we truly come together.
This gathering is inspired by a collective vision of renewal—a partnership between community, city, and private leaders that opens pathways for healing, harmony, and new beginnings. It is a celebration of resilience and hope, a living model of what it means to create a city that works for everyone. Together, we embody the spirit: “We Are All in This Together.”
We are establishing a public–private partnership to explore options to create a dedicated fund, a Senior Trust, that empowers seniors to age with dignity and security. Guided by a steering committee of public and private partners, we are united in our mission to protect and uplift our elders.
In addition to direct financial support, the trust will fund energy-efficiency improvements, housing repairs, and essential updates that make homes safer, healthier, and more sustainable. This initiative ensures that seniors not only keep their homes, but also thrive in them.
The Golden Eagle Messengers are launching a media campaign to raise awareness about the challenges seniors face as they navigate a rapidly changing world. At the heart of this effort is our commitment to “Give Seniors A Voice”—to ensure their stories, wisdom, and vulnerabilities are seen, heard, and honored.
Community For Positive Aging is an Oasis of Love, Laughter, Creativity, Activity, Wisdom, Knowledge, and Support. Healing happens in community, not isolation.
Whether you help your senior neighbor with groceries, walk their dog, take them to a neighborhood community center, or help them with Emergency Preparedness, it means the world to them. It’s about building community, sharing knowledge, and protecting what we love. By coming together, we can ensure that seniors, their families, and even their animal companions are ready for life’s unpredictable events.
We are honored to partner with Community for Positive Aging, a model senior center that hosts multiple activities, workshops, including Senior Emergency Preparedness. These gatherings offer practical guidance, resources, and connection in a supportive environment.

No senior should be forced from their home due to financial strain, outdated housing, or lack of support. No one should ever have to go it alone. We believe affordable housing is more than just shelter—it is the foundation for health, stability, and connection. Through innovative partnerships, we aim to:
